A fun day for the girls at the museum!
I took the girls to the Wexner Center For the Arts on Sunday. It was family day (free admission!) and they have the "Funny/Strange" exhibit by William Wegman he is the the guy that is famous for his Weimaraner dog photos. We all had a fun time checking out the art, eating free homemade ice cream from "Jeni's Ice Cream, making our own art and viewing a very funny short movie.

Megan and Paige my own personal masterpieces!

Megan and Paige walking down one of the mini stairways in the museum, they are like little hidden passage ways...so much fun!
Above, Paige's post card picture. William Wegman had some huge post card pictures on display. He would adhere old postcards to his canvas and then continue the picture outside of the postcard. Like imagining what might be out of view. They were really big and colorful. Megan is below showing off her masterpiece. The girls also made story books. The museum provided little scrapbooks and photos of animals that the kids could use to tell a story. Megan did hers with pictures of a Sun Bear and Paige did penguins.

Where has the time gone? I always say you don't realize how fast time goes until you have an infant in your house...same goes for a puppy.
Our little puppy boy Rebel turned 1 today. He was just 6 weeks old when we brought him home from the breeders last Oct. 29th. I posted a few pictures from his first month home then one from each month after that. It was hard to choose just one per month because we have a bazillion photos of him. Hope you enjoy Rebels year in review.

Her name is Paige Marguerite and the name suits her perfectly. Marguerite it her Great Grandma's first name and her Great Grandma is a natural gardener. When Paige came home from school on Friday she asked if she could help collect the seeds from the Lilly's out front. She had been watching for the seed pods to open up so she could collect the little black seeds so we can plant them out back when we put the flower beds around the patio. She also sat and pulled the seeds out of the dried Marigold flowers for me. I think her Great Grandma would be proud of her...I know I am.

We went down to southern Ohio for a wedding this past weekend. The sky was so blue and it was a lovely weekend to wed. It was the wedding of our dear friend Denise's son Kellan to the lovely Danielle. I met Denise 17 years ago when I first moved to Ohio with the family I nannied for. Her youngest daughter Jacinta was in preschool with Jessica so that is how we met and became friends. It seemed so strange to watch a kid that I used to babysit get married...but I guess that is what they do....they just keep growing up but we get to a place (middle age) where we feel like we have stopped aging (for now at least). We all had a wonderful time...scroll down for all the fun photos. Kellan and Danielle leaving the church under a clear blue sky and rose petals flying in the air. What a lovely wedding, we wish them a lifetime of happiness.

While waiting for the bride and groom to come from the church (and photos) we had the fun task of filling out a scrapbook page for them. As we came into the reception hall they took our picture that they will put on the page and then we had to write down our best wishes, memories etc. Paige drew the picture of the bride and groom. It was such a clever idea.

Paige snapped this picture of us together. The blue glass beads that I am wearing belonged to my Grandma. It's hard for me to picture her ever wearing them since I always think of her out fishing or working in the garden.
Kellan's grooms cake.
The cake tasted as good as it looked and it looked great!
This is the only photo that I got of Danielle and Kellan together. They had their photo's taken all day I didn't want to bug them and blind them with more.
Jacinta and Nicole with their new sister Danielle. She is a sweet girl and she is going to fit into this family perfectly.
Denise and George at Kellan and Danielle's wedding reception. It was so nice to see them again, and twice in one summer how lucky are we?

Paige, George and Megan a nice shot above and a silly shot below. The girls adore George and he is smitten with them. If you are nice to my kids and play with them then they will follow you around like puppies and that is how they are with George.

Mike, Brandi, Paige and Megan ready to party at Kellan and Danielle's reception.
Denise with her two lovely daughters, Nicole and Jacinta. What a beautiful bunch!
Jacinta and Nicole always the hams!

Nicole and her husband Rob they live in AZ. Nicole is a hospice nurse, she is such a strong a caring young woman and Rob just adores her.

Jacinta and Nicole giving Kellan some love! Kellan was born in the middle of these two beautiful girls...what a lucky brother!

It's a dance party!
Mike and Megan on the dance floor.

Mike and Paige dancing.

Since I have known the groom since he was 10 years old...I chose to dance with him during the dollar dance. He is such a sweet young man.
For the dollar dance our girls chose to dance with the Princess bride instead of the groom. Those princess's always win out!
Below- Megan, Paige and Minnie made fast friends. Minnie is one of Denise's grand nieces. There were a lot of young kids there.
Paige swiped a rose too and she put it in her hair clip.
A Megan and Mom self portrait. She swiped the rose from the cake table after they had the cake all apart and cut.
